Desktop Settings

The Desktop can be tailored on a global basis, affecting all users. The default display in the Desktop is the Campaign List, but this can be hidden or altered as required. Additional tabs, set to display websites or Social Media feeds, can also be added to the Desktop and then navigated between by the agent using the controls at the bottom of the window.

Desktop Settings

1

Display Campaign List

1. Display Campaign List

Opt whether to show the campaign list on the desktop.

2

Desktop Tab URLs

2. Desktop Tab URLs

Additional Desktop Tabs for all users can be specified by entering a website URL (each URL needs to go on a separate line, and start with http:// or https://). Each line will be displayed in a separate Desktop Tab.

3

FAQ Button

3. FAQ Button

Opt whether to show or hide the standard FAQs (frequently asked questions) button shown in the Navigation Toolbar when a Workflow is running, or whether it should redirect to an alternative FAQ.

4

Alternative FAQ URL

4. Alternative FAQ URL

Rather than using the Scripting FAQ module, users can reference their own FAQs by entering an alternative URL here if they have set FAQ Button to "Alternative URL".

5

Archive Licensing History

5. Archive Licensing History

If enabled, this will automatically archive up to 100,000 entries from tbl_user_licensing_history to tbl_user_licensing_history_archive hourly. On large systems, this will improve performance for users on the Desktop.

Note: when first enabled on an existing system, there may be brief slowdowns whenever this runs until the backlog of history entries has been archived.

6

Enable Auto Record Check

6. Enable Auto Record Check

If enabled, then users sat in the Desktop's campaign view will automatically have the system check for any available records at the specified interval. Otherwise, the system only checks for records available to the user when they open the campaign view.

7

Enable Back Button

7. Enable Back Button

If enabled, agents will be able to use the Back button shown in the Navigation Toolbar when a Workflow is running.

8

Enable Transfer Button

8. Enable Transfer Button

If enabled, agents will be able to use the Transfer button shown in the Navigation Toolbar when a Workflow is running.

9

Outstanding Task Notifications

9. Outstanding Task Notifications

If disabled, the Outstanding Tasks pane will be disabled, and the related Scripting checking process won't be run by the server. This can reduce load on systems where the Users don't control Workflow pops, or make use of Desktop at all (such as when using the PureEngage integration).

Disabling this option will prevent transfers or reschedules to individual Users from occurring, and will only allow reschedules to All Users or a specific Group to be accessible via selecting the relevant Campaign from the Campaign List.

10

Show Campaign Warning

10. Show Campaign Warning

Controls whether a warning toast is displayed to the user should an attempt be made to pop a non-existent or improperly configured campaign.
