The SSO (Generic Provider) connector allows the configuration of multiple SSO Identity Providers (IdPs) that can be offered to users on the login page. Further documentation is provided in the Single Sign On article.
Connector Name
This is the name that will be displayed for this connector on the login screen.
If the connector is fully configured and activated, then it will be offered on the login screen and be eligible to receive externally-originating login attempts. If deactivated, it will be hidden from the login screen and also won't accept externally-originating login requests.
The certificate offered by the Identity Provider, commonly known as the x.509 certificate, must be downloaded in a Base64-encoded format and then be opened in a text editor (such as Notepad) and the entirety of its content copied into this field.
If this option is enabled, then externally-originating ("Identity Provider initiated") login attempts will be prevented. Regardless of this setting, locally-originating ("Service Provider initiated") login attempts will always be allowed, via the login page or URL pop.
