Workflow Information

The Workflow Information tray is a tool accessible to anyone who has a Designer licence whenever they are in a Workflow run (whether it be a preview or live Workflow run), and is particularly useful when troubleshooting. It can be accessed by clicking the Workflow Information icon at the bottom-left of the window during a Workflow run:

The Workflow Information tray is composed of two components: the Workflow Information view, and Workflow Data view.
  • Workflow Information contains basic information about this Workflow run, such as the current page and session ID.
  • Workflow Data can be customised to show the value of any Fields or Variables that are desired.

Please note that having many watched fields may result in slow load speeds within Scripting.

Usage

To check Workflow Information or Fields and Variables using the Workflow Data window, click the Preview button and then click the Workflow Information button in the bottom left corner:

The Workflow Information tray will be displayed initially, containing information about the current Workflow run. In some cases the numbers won't be set, depending on whether you're in a preview or real Workflow run, and depending on what type of interaction you're in if it's a real Workflow run. It's also useful to note that some of the information has a value in brackets preceding it; this number equates to the database ID in the relevant table for that item.

To view the Workflow Data tray, simply click the Workflow Data bar visible below the Workflow Information tray. This toggles between the views in a manner similar to swapping between the Control list and Page list in the Workflow Designer.

The monitored Fields and Variables can be controlled by clicking the Add/Remove button at the top-right of the Workflow Data tray. Note that a Field will only become visible in the Workflow Data tray once it has been reached in the Workflow run.
